One of the video documentaries produced as part of the A Delicious place* actions in relation to the topic of food follows the stories revealed through the workshops conducted in collaboration with We circle Collective. We circle collective is heterogeneous collective undertaking social action through art projects, while tackling socio-political and ecological issues.
The workshops aimed to connect residents of Kaimakli beyond prejudice or taboo. Through personalised, sensorial and artistic experience, participants had the opportunity to learn creative skills, engage with each other and recall memories. Persons of various cultural backgrounds and Kaimakli residents participated in a series of professional creative workshops that combine different artistic disciplines.
The final output of the project led to a performative dinner presented by the workshop participants, with dishes, stories and performances from around the world.
*A Delicious Place is a placemaking activity composed of a series of actions that were hosted at the Pame Kaimakli 2020 festival in Nicosia. It is part of the A-Place project and is co-funded by the Creative Europe Program of the European Commision.
