Agora, ingeniously designed by Urban Gorillas, is a mobile structure that champions public engagement by offering a unique platform for various voices. During the Afro Banana festival, Agora transcended into an oasis of non-verbal expression and tranquility. This space, devoid of spoken words, invites attendees to a realm of introspection and spiritual rejuvenation. Participants will communicate silently, utilizing boards for written and artistic expressions, fostering connections in a serene environment.
This innovative concept of silent communication was introduced by the Japanese artist collective orangcosong. Their performance “Hitsudankai – From now/here, Silence” will be showcased on July 14th, 2021 at Agora during the Afro Banana festival. Join “Silence in the Agora” that will encapsulate the essence of this unique communicative experience.
