Gorillas Create Playful Urban Social Space at Festival NEON

Urban Gorillas’ DNA inflatable structure made in collaboration with Plastique Fantastique and many amazing people from the workshop Inflating the Public_2 featured as a temporary urban playful social space on 24 May 2015 at Festival NEON curated by ABR Alternative Brains Rule. A live art project was created by ‪Mathieu Devavry‬ and Baroque Rococo‬ who painted the inflatable structure. Inside the structure we installed a sandy beach play area. The structure was home to Pecha Kucha presentations, children’s play, picnics, relaxation and artists’ live work performance. Urban Gorillas were proud to be part of this successful event that reached out to youth and the wider community, while making great use of public space at the Nicosia Municipal Gardens. A big thank you for the organisers and all who took part in the day’s happenings!
