Commoning in a Hyperdiverse Neighbourhood: Insights From a Community Festival in Nicosia

We are thrilled to share that Urban Gorillas work and the Pame Kaimakli Festival are the focus of a new peer-reviewed research article by Veronika Antoniou and René Carraz, titled “Commoning in a Hyperdiverse Neighbourhood: Insights From a Community Festival in Nicosia.” The article has been officially published in the International Journal of the Commons.

This study examines how Urban Gorillas and the Pame Kaimakli Festival cultivate new forms of collective action and neighbourhood commoning in Nicosia, transforming cultural and artistic practices into shared urban resources.

This publication marks an important milestone in our ongoing effort to understand, support, and advance community-driven urban transformation.
