Summer course: Urban Entrepreneurship – Opportunities in times of uncertainty

Within the framework of the Summer course: Urban Entrepreneurship – Opportunities in times of uncertainty, organised by the Centre for Entrepreneurship – C4E, University of Cyprus and the Urban Gorillas and powered by PwC Cyprus – 1st and 2nd year students of different disciplines from the University of Cyprus came together in order to tackle urban challenges. During this week, students have had the chance to meet and attend a series of lectures by entrepreneurs and professors from across the world including: Japan, France, Cyprus, Italy, Malawi, Guatemala, Lebanon, India and US who have been leaders of amazing social entrepreneurship projects.

The scope of this workshop was to impel the students to develop innovative ideas based on issues they identified in cities such as : life quality and opportunities for an ageing population, migrant inclusion, opportunities in under-utilised spaces including roofscapes, innovative uses of public space, and disabled citizens, isolation and other problems they face
