The Mobile Creative Capsules were activated during the Pame Kaimakli Festival 2025, “Oikeiotopia”, which took place in Kaimakli. As part of the festival programme, the Capsules hosted the project “Stories from Your Kitchen Drawer”, curated by People of Cyprus.
The project took the form of a participatory sound and spatial installation, transforming the familiar setting of a kitchen into a living archive of memories. Visitors were invited to explore drawers, objects, voices, photographs, recipes, and videos drawn from the Kaimakli community, while also contributing their own stories. Through everyday domestic elements, the installation blended personal intimacy with collective storytelling, revealing how ordinary objects can carry shared histories and cultural identity.
Throughout the festival, the Mobile Capsules functioned as an open exhibition space, guiding visitors into an immersive narrative environment that connected private memory with public space. The intervention demonstrated the Capsules’ capacity to host research-based, interactive cultural practices and to activate storytelling as a tool for community engagement.
