Virtual Potluck was a presentation and online workshop and run by Urban Gorillas as Part of the Anna Lindh Virtual Marathon.

The Anna Lindh Foundation Virtual Marathon for Dialogue in the EuroMed region has a duration of 42 days and a total of 63 online events.; the initiative was designed to promote the Intercultural Dialogue as the way to build sustainable societies in the Euro-Mediterranean Region, in times when rethinking our development models became more urgent due to the Covid-19 epidemic.

Urban Gorillas aimed to celebrate diversity while highlighting that cultural differences are an asset for healthy communities. During this session we looked into different notions of an intercultural city.  We also discussed how we could, as citizens, ensure inclusivity, cross cultural dialogue, and interaction with diverse social groups in the cities’ public spaces.

This creative online workshop adopted the notion of food as a socio-cultural tool that nurtures meaningful relationships and connects people from different backgrounds.  12 guests joined us for a virtual dinner, sharing stories about food and places. In this limitless space we have discovered the boundless connections but also healthy differences between us!
